Our
Projects
At Educate Your Plate CIC, we’re committed to improving health, wellbeing, and quality of life across our community — through food, education, and empowerment.
This page showcases the wide range of projects we’re delivering to create lasting impact. From community workshops and health education programmes to targeted support groups and awareness campaigns, our work is grounded in evidence-based practice and delivered with heart.
While many of our recent projects have focused on supporting women aged 35+ to feel better and age well, our wider mission is to address health inequalities and inspire positive lifestyle change for people of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances.
As a not-for-profit, every initiative we run is shaped by real community need and driven by our belief that everyone deserves the tools to live well.
Women's Health and Longevity Programme has secured The National Lottery Community Fund grant!!!
Educate Your Plate is delighted to announce that we have been awarded £19,980 from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver our brand-new Women’s Health & Longevity Project right here in Widnes.
Starting Wednesday 24th September, sessions will run every Wednesday, 7–8.30pm (term time only) at St John’s Church, Greenway Road, Widnes – completely free to attend.
These sessions build on the success of our pilot programme, which created a safe, supportive space for women to explore health, mindset, habits and nutrition in a way that feels empowering, practical and community-driven.
What to Expect Each Week
Our two-year funded project will bring women together for engaging, hands-on sessions including:
-
Education on nutrition, preventative health, and wellbeing
-
Practical workshops such as cooking demonstrations & tastings
-
Tools for habit change, accountability & goal-setting
-
Movement and stress management activities
-
Expert-led talks on key women’s health topics
-
Social connection, support, and community-building
Each week includes a healthy shared meal/snack and plenty of time to connect with other women.
Why This Matters
Women in Halton face some of the highest rates of preventable health issues, including obesity, chronic conditions, menopause-related challenges, and poor wellbeing. By focusing on women – the cornerstone of family health – this project aims to create sustainable, multi-generational change, helping women improve their health while inspiring healthier habits at home.
Our Mission
To educate, uplift, and empower women to take ownership of their health, their habits, and their happiness – one session at a time.
How to Get Involved
Spaces are limited, and we expect demand to be high. If you’d like to be part of the first cohort, register your interest today and join us in shaping a healthier future for yourself, your family, and your community.

Men's Health Week June 2025- free webinar announcement
In recognition of Men’s Health Week 2025 (9th–15th June), I’ll be releasing a free webinar designed specifically for men, exploring the key lifestyle changes that have the biggest impact on health, energy, and longevity.
This year’s theme “We Need a Men’s Health Strategy” shines a spotlight on the urgent need to prioritise men’s health. Too often, symptoms are ignored, mental health is sidelined, and small issues go unchecked until they become bigger problems.
My webinar will help men better understand their bodies, their risk factors, and how they can take back control with simple, effective habits. We’ll cover:
-
The current health picture for men in the UK (especially the North West)
-
Nutrition and the role of your cells
-
Inflammation and disease prevention
-
Gut health, fibre, and the microbiome
-
Protein, muscle mass, and ageing
-
Blood sugar, energy, and cravings
Whether you want to live longer, feel better, reduce risk of illness, or just better understand your health - this webinar is for you.
📅 Free access goes live during Men’s Health Week.

Helping Students Build Healthy Habits for Success
At Educate Your Plate, we believe that exam success starts long before the revision timetable. That’s why we’re supporting Year 10 students to build the strong foundations they need, mentally and physically, to thrive in Year 11 and beyond.
We’re launching a dedicated session focused on helping students develop healthy habits now that will improve their brain health, memory, focus, resilience, and overall wellbeing, vital skills for navigating GCSEs and life after school. By starting now, they will start to embed these habits so by the time their GCSEs come round next year, they'll be fighting fit and ready to smash their exams with positivity, grit and determination.
🎥 COMING SOON: Free Webinar
We’re also releasing a free webinar for students and parents to access on demand. The session will explore evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle strategies that support mental health, cognitive function and academic performance.
