Our
Projects
At Educate Your Plate CIC, we’re committed to improving health, wellbeing, and quality of life across our community — through food, education, and empowerment.
This page showcases the wide range of projects we’re delivering to create lasting impact. From community workshops and health education programmes to targeted support groups and awareness campaigns, our work is grounded in evidence-based practice and delivered with heart.
While many of our recent projects have focused on supporting women aged 35+ to feel better and age well, our wider mission is to address health inequalities and inspire positive lifestyle change for people of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances.
As a not-for-profit, every initiative we run is shaped by real community need and driven by our belief that everyone deserves the tools to live well.
6-Week Women’s Wellness Group – Pilot Programme Summary
Over the past six weeks, Educate Your Plate has been proud to pilot a brand-new Women’s Wellness Group—a safe, supportive space for women to explore their health, mindset, habits and nutrition in a way that feels empowering, practical and community-driven.
This pilot programme brought together a small group of women each week for an engaging blend of activities, open discussion, coaching, and learning. Together, we covered a range of holistic wellness themes including:
-
Understanding habits & goal-setting
-
Emotional eating & the science of cravings
-
Meal planning, mindful eating & nourishing recipes
-
Sleep and hormones, stress management and energy balance
-
Hydration, detoxification & reducing toxic habits
-
Self-reflection, behaviour change tools, and support strategies
Each session included hands-on learning, journaling or self-coaching tasks, and easy-to-follow nutrition tips rooted in science—but always delivered with a real-world, compassionate approach.
Shaped by Women, For Women
Participant feedback has been central to the development of this group. We’ve taken on board what women found most helpful, what they want more of, and how we can make the sessions even more supportive and impactful. Their voices are helping to shape the next version of this programme—and we are so grateful for their honesty and courage in showing up for themselves and each other.
What’s Next?
We are currently seeking National Lottery Community Funding to help us continue running these sessions for free, making them accessible to more women in our local area—especially those who may not otherwise have access to this kind of health and wellbeing support.
Our mission is simple:
To educate, uplift, and empower women to take ownership of their health, their habits, and their happiness—one session at a time.
